Tiene suelo montañoso, con altitud que varía entre 350 y 500 m. sobre el nivel del mar. Ofrece bellos paisajes entre una gran vegetación agrícola y producción ganadera. Los paseos a caballos entre las montañas es un atractivo turístico.
Los “chigualos” son muy característicos en la población
rural. Es una festividad donde se canta al Niño Dios,
se hacen rondas y bailes; se celebra los 2 de febrero
de cada año.
El caldo de gallina “criolla” es uno de
sus platos típicos; y, el bollo, compuesto
por una mezcla de maní, plátano y chanco
que es hornado envuelto en hoja de plátano.

It has mountainous floor, with altitude that varies between 350 and 500 m. on the level of the sea. It offers beautiful
landscapes between a great agricultural vegetation and
cattle production. Riding horse among the mountains
are a tourist attractiveness.
“Chigualos”, they are very characteristic in the rural
population. It is a festivity where people sing to the
Boy God, they do rounds and dances; it is celebrated
on February 2th of every year.
Creole hen broth is one of his typical plates;
and, the bun, it is compound from a peanut
mixture, banana and pig that it is baked
wrapped in banana leaf.
